Whoa!! I just realized that I have not updated the information on here in quite a while. For those of you who are just tuning in, we have wrapped up our reading of the Great Gatsby (to applause I might remind you), completed the final vocabulary test (on chapters 7, 8 and 9), and practiced for and taken the final timed-write, which is our end of unit assessment for Gatsby. So congratulations Jr’s – you made it through unit 1.
If any of that stuff sounds like stuff that you missed or is totally unfamiliar you should come check with me or make it up.
Now onto the next unit. We will be studying the Crucible for the next few weeks. As introduced today, the Crucible is a play set in 1600’s New England during the Salem Witch Trials. We will get deeper into it shortly, but as a reminder, here is a copy of the introductory puritan powerpoint that we went over in class. In addition, here is a copy of the puritanism questions that you got for homework. Do those questions.
