Hamlet – A small pig???

Okay, so as you may know, it’s been a weird couple of weeks for me, and while that should be no excuse, I have neglected the maintenance of the classroom blog. My apologies – I hope you can forgive me. *Whew* glad that’s over with.

Here is the STUFF that we have been covering for the past few weeks in AP Lit:

As you know we have started our reading of The Tragedy of Hamlet: Prince of Denmark by William Shakespeare. The previous link is to an online version of the text.

As always, the readings are associated with Hamlet Log Assignment entries. The ones that have been assigned already are as follows:

Log 1 – Act 1, scene 1

Log 2 – Act 1, scenes 2 and 3

Log 3 – Act 1, scenes 4 and 5

Log 4 – Act 2

Log 5 – Act 3, scenes 1 and 2

Log 6 – Paraphrase the “To Be or Not to Be” soliloquy

You should have already submitted logs 1-4 (this past Friday).

Following are a list of the in-class activities (with linked assignments) that we have done since starting Hamlet:

Starting Hamlet – Jan 5 – PPTand Anticipatory Questions

Comparing Movie Trailers (Gibson Version, Hawk Version and Lion King)

Act 1, Scene 3 – Polonious Laertes and Ophelia

Act 1, Scene 5 – The Ghost Speaks

Act 2, Scene 1 – Hamlet’s Madness

Act 2, Scene 2 –“O, What a Rogue”

This is pretty much everything that we have covered SO FAR… which means there is more to come.

Enjoy the snow!!!!
