Good evening poetry-lovers (as well as all of you who are just going with it becasue it’s the curriculum)

Tuesday in class we looked at Brueghel’s beautiful “Landscape with the Fall of Icarus” (above) and read two ekphrastic poems based on the work: “Musee des Beaux Arts” by Auden, and “Landscape with the Fall of Icarus” by Williams (both attached below). Your assignment was to complete the “questions to consider” from the ekphrasis packet (see the last post) for the Williams poem, and prepare for the in-class write that we will ebhaving tomorrow (Thursday).
