AP Lit – To be, or not to be…

Above, you see Ethan Hawke’s Hamlet wandering aimlessly through the aisles of Blockbuster, pondering Shakespeare’s (aguably) most well-known line: “To be, or not to be.” Side note… given that Hamlet claims to have “lost the name of action”, is his choice of aisle ironic, or just silly?

In class, we dug into the meaning of the duality in this first chunk of act 3 scene 1, using the resourse sheet (3-1) in class.

Please make sure to keep on track with the reading schedule for act 3, and come to class tomorrow (or Thursday for period 5) prepared to discuss the remainder of scene 1, as well as scene 2.
