Jan 30 – AP CompGov test tomorrow!

AP Comp Gov Students:

As a reminder, you will be having a unit test tomorrow on the three sections of the class that we have covered thus far: The introduction, the UK and the EU.

Most in-class resources can be found in past blog posts.

The ppt. on the evolution of political parties can be found here:

Jan 15 – Parties

The EU ppt used in class can be found here:

EU Power Point

Basic study guide/reminders:

All of the introductory vocabulary and information is fair game, so make sure you can define the terms, and more importantly, apply them. The UK is the only country we’ve studied so far, so make sure that you know how things like nationalism, insularity, legitimacy, devolution, cleavages, etc. apply to the UK.

Make sure you brush up on the functions of the divisions of the UK government (HoL, HoC, cabinet, bureaucracy, judiciary, monarchy, etc.), the political parties, and the relationship between the UK gov and the EU (which is what should have been covered in the debate… but we all know how that went).
